Feeling Flannel

I just love a long weekend home– and when it’s filled with good food, you know you have to dress for comfort. When I got ready for Thanksgiving dinner, I knew I needed something comfortable but still fashionable… because I was obviously taking advantage of blog photos with my mom.

Shockingly enough (not really) I’m wearing head-to-toe Old Navy. This flannel is a little festive with the red, which is so perfect as we are approaching the holiday season. The weather was great on Thanksgiving, so I only needed to wear my vest over it! And when you’re eating stuffing and desserts, you have to wear leggings. These are apart of Old Navy’s Activewear line, but with a little bit of leather-looking patches, make them perfect for everyday wear.

Top this off with some brown boots and a brown tote, and you have the perfect outfit to transition from fall to winter! I can’t wait to start incorporating my vests into my wardrobe. Luckily, I haven’t really needed them yet!

White After Labor Day

When the first day of fall rolls around, the no brainer outfit choice is white jeans, right…. ? If you were to tell me I’d break the “no white after Labor Day” rule I would have laughed. For some reason, when I was planning my outfit Tuesday night, I was drawn towards my white jeans, even though I had packed them away for the season.

Paired with my trusty chambray shirt and new favorite shoes, I was easily able to transition my white jeans into fall! I think this is only the beginning of the many ways I’ll incorporate these pants this season.

What I’m Wearing:

Chambray shirt || Most jean sizes are sold out, but check Old Navy next season!|| Booties || Satchel || Sunnies (Old Navy, check out their selection in-store!) || Statement necklace (old, similar)

 Happy Friday!!

Strolling in TriBeCa

Every year summer turns into fall, right? So why is it every year around this time I am at a loss of what to wear! The mornings are cool, the afternoons hot, the office always FREEZING. I just wish someone would just tell me what to wear sometimes, ha.

Luckily I did a little shopping last weekend for some pieces to help me transition from summer into fall. I saw this black dress hanging at Old Navy, and wasn’t sure how I’d like it on, but I’m obsessed. It was perfect on Tuesday, as I had an alumni event after work at a rooftop bar. When it gets a little chiller I can definitely throw on a loose sweater or even a structured blazer.

How about these booties? I also picked these up last weekend. I was worried there isn’t any strap around the ankle but they’re surprisingly very comfortable! I’m so excited to wear these with jeans and some brown-colored tops.

Summer Brights

I’ve always wanted to try the white jean trend and I finally picked up a pair earlier this summer! Old Navy, of course. They go with so many different tops, I even wore them last week with a bright pink tunic- they’re just super versatile. I wore this outfit when my family went to Peddler’s Village for the weekend. I also picked up this new Coach bag while I was there so I had to show it off! I haven’t stopped using it since I purchased it. 🙂

Have you tried the white jean trend? How do you style them?

Keepin’ Me Warm

Hello hello! How is it only Thursday!? It’s felt like such a long week. Not only has it been busy at work, but I’ve had plans and events almost every night! Which is all fun don’t get me wrong 😉 I just wish it wasn’t as cold.

Let’s go back to last Sunday please, where it was 40 degrees and beautifully sunny. That’s when these pictures were taken; I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get outside! I’ve been loving this turtle neck & faux fur vest combo and have found myself wearing it to work a couple of times this winter. It’s a go-to when I know it’s going to be extra cold that day. It also easily transitions for after-work drinks. Just add some lipstick and throw on a pair of booties! The turtleneck is warm, but not too suffocating and the vest adds that something extra.

I spoke about this vest back in December when I first received it, but it was such a good investment, and so so comfy! I definitely recommend checking out Chichwish to get your own. At first I was a little nervous about ordering online, but it worked out great!

Not only was I so happy to be outside without a coat, but it was also so much fun to shoot with my mom! She’s my mother and my best friend, and now my photographer too (hehehe). Love ya mom!

 What I’m Wearing:

Chichwish vest || Old Navy turtleneck || Old Navy jeans || Kenneth Cole Reaction purse || Michael Kors watch || Essie nail polish in Sugar Daddy

Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

PS: I may or may not have purchased two new pairs of these jeans over the weekend… (yup, definitely did)

How adorable is this trench coat!? I saw it a few weeks ago on Old Navy’s website and have been thinking about it ever since. I think its the perfect length and material for nice weather in the city, and makes me want spring to come even sooner!! With the snow yesterday and some more snow in the forecast this week, I don’t see that happening any time soon. I think this will have to be one of my early purchases to get me ready for spring!

Lazy Days

Saturdays and Sundays are my favorite. I don’t have to wake up early and rush to get ready and out to catch my bus. I usually wake up around 9 and lounge in bed for a bit, until I get too hungry and make my way downstairs for breakfast.

When I am set to lounge around and blog, I put on my comfiest sweats and pick a spot in my house where I can lay down and write. I just got these fleece pants for Christmas from Old Navy and they are one of comfiest pair of pants I own. I paired them with a plain tee since I would just be in the house.

Of course, my blogging hours wouldn’t be nearly as successful without my Heart and Arrow Planner. I also got this for Christmas, and I’ve been using it since! It really helps me plan out my posts for the week, especially because I try to get so much done during the weekends.

Last week was a super busy week at work, so it was really nice to relax this weekend. My TV shows are finally starting to come back and I’m so excited! Yesterday I watched the first two new episodes of Pretty Little Liars. Does anyone else watch it? I can’t believe it’s been on for four and a half years! With every episode I watch, I always say I’m going to stop watching because I get too scared. But here I am, 5 seasons later, still following along!

How do you like to spend your weekends?
